Revitalizing Tradition at Steeles Bramalea Campus
Situated at the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Bramalea Road, the Steeles Bramalea Campus stands as a testament to innovation within a historical context. The office buildings, comprising two single-story structures totaling approximately 31,000 sq.ft, boast a distinctive design by incorporating the original Sealy Simmons factory bricks. Accompanying these offices is a high-performance industrial facility spanning 373,000 sq.ft, recognized as a finalist for the 2022 NAIOP REX Awards for Industrial Development of the Year.
Aesthetic Ingenuity with Exterior IMP Build
For Cold Room Construction, the challenge of this project lay in transforming the campus with an exterior Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) build. Unlike conventional vertical installations, our team opted for a horizontal arrangement, lending the buildings a unique and eye-catching design. Overcoming obstacles, especially the proximity to an operational CN railway, required meticulous planning and execution. Employing a crane under CN supervision, we flawlessly flew IMP panels above the tracks, ensuring safety and adhering to the project timeline.
Effective Communication and Precision Planning
Navigating alongside an operational railway demanded constant communication and strategic planning. Our effective coordination throughout the project played a key role in delivering the project on time. This commitment to efficient communication and proactive planning not only mitigated challenges but also enhanced the overall success of the Steeles Bramalea Campus project, showcasing our dedication to quality and innovation in every aspect of construction.
